1. Who is a good canidate for the tummy tuck?
People with loose skin from pregnancies, major weight loss will
probably need an abdominoplasty rather than just liposuction.

Surgery can take from 3 to 4 hours depending on the size of the
patient and if they want to include liposuction to the hips or other areas.

Patients will usually be off work for 2 weeks if they do stationary office type work.
You can return to all activities 6 weeks from surgery.

INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER THIS TYPE OF SURGERY.

Patients will have 2 drains for 4 to 14 days post op.

Wear the girdle for another month.

First op appointments are 2-3 days after surgery and again at about
1week, then 2 weeks, and will be decided accordingly after that.

The abdominoplasty is probably the most satisfying procedures done.
You can see the results the first time the dressings are removed.

11. Can I have kids after having a tummy tuck?
It is possible to have children after this surgery is done.
We recommend having the procedure done when you are done with having kids.
Some people will not need anything corrected but some WILL need some kind of revision done.
12. What kind of sutures do you use? I'm worried about the scars.
Dr. Aiello does not place any sutures in the skin. They are all done internal and that makes a much better scar after the scar has matured.
